Notre Dame AmeriCorps - Watsonville Notre Dame-AmeriCorps, believes that education is the fundamental tool in the struggle for human dignity, self-esteem, and self-determination. Member Duties : Watsonville NDMVA members support the education, health and wellness of our community by serving in schools and social service agencies. Most members support small group K-12 instruction at a local elementary or middle school in a traditional classroom setting and help coordinate after school programming including homework help and extracurriculars. Other members have the opportunity to serve in community outreach roles through our local free food services as well as case management positions in local anti-poverty organizations. As a Watsonville team member, you will gain hands-on experience in the field and professional development while making a significant impact for the students and families in our community. On the weekends members have additional opportunities to volunteer in local non-profits, many of which are dedicated to environmental conservation. Contact for current partnering sites.
