Job Overview

A Customer Service Warehouse Driver is primarily in charge of providing customer support, mainly through delivery, pickup, and scheduling with local customers. Their responsibilities typically revolve around answering inquiries, addressing, and troubleshooting problems, maintaining records of all transactions as well as handling warehouse and receiving duties such as loading and unloading materials, assembling orders, and inventory checks. There are also instances when they must perform follow-up calls, offer products and services, discuss product specifications and promotions, and develop sales strategies. Moreover, they must maintain an active communication line with staff for a smooth and efficient workflow.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Drives vehicles transporting orders and materials to designated sites
  • Spends up to 3 nights on route traveling.
  • Following delivery driving routes and time schedules.
  • Loads delivery vehicles ensuring that all items and supplies are properly secured.
  • Maintains vehicles (e.g. checking fluid levels, fueling, cleaning, etc.) ensuring safe operation
  • Participates in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
  • Prepares orders by pulling from stock to meet delivery requirements.
  • Check-in and put away material, verifying quantities and quality of received material.
  • Assist in maintaining a safe and clean work site
  • Continuously update product knowledge. Stay informed and educated as to product inventory and applicability. Know the location of merchandise in the warehouse.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and resolve client complaints.
  • Inform customers about new products and services.
  • Performs a variety of warehouse duties such as pulling/assembling customer orders, checking outbound orders for accuracy/completeness, inventory stock checks, restocking and labeling products
  • Performs receiving duties such as receiving and unloading inbound material, processing inbound shipments, stocking material, processing customer returns, and notifying management of damaged shipments for freight claims
  • Performs other related duties as required

Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Customer service experience
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record ( CDL is not needed )
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Excellent time management to ensure deliveries are made on Schedule.
  • 75% travel time



Compensation details: 21-28 Hourly Wage
