Essential Functions Perform & document Ultrasonic Thickness Testing results of various equipment. Perform & document Magnetic Particle inspection results of various equipment. Perform & document Dye Penetrant inspection results of various equipment. Perform & document Visual Inspection results of various equipment. Provide the NDE Coordinator the necessary data in a timely and accurate manner. Excellent verbal communication. Excellent inspection documentation. Coordinate, create inspection programs, populate data and manage contract personnel. Be willing & available for unscheduled emergencies during off hours. Key Competencies Ultrasonic Thickness Testing (UT) is performed to determine current thickness, corrosion rate, and remaining life. Magnetic Particle (MT), Dye Penetrant (PT), and Visual Inspection (VT) are performed to determine material condition and welding quality. Verbal communication skills, documentation, and a willingness to perform inspections in locations that require the willingness to climb, crawl, run man-lifts, and get dirty. Required Qualifications Previous NDE Level II certification in non-destructive testing in the Ultrasonic Thickness Testing, Magnetic Particle Examination, Dye Penetrant Examination and Visual Inspection methods. 2 years of experience with at least one year in a petrochemical plant environment. Preferences - Level I or Level II certification and experience in other non-destructive methods. Previous experience in radiographic interpretation. Welding experience. Education High School Diploma or Equivalent. Formal documented training in relevant NDE methods. Work Environment 80% - Mainly in the plant working directly with the equipment. 20% - Office. Physical Demands Must be capable of lifting 50 pounds, climbing ladders up to 100 feet, and working in confined spaces.
