At Northrop Grumman Defense Systems, we are seeking a Non-Destructive Test Technician 2 to support our Armament Systems business unit in Mesa, AZ. Location : This position requires on-site support. Selected candidate will need to be within commuting distance to our site in Mesa, AZ. Relocation assistance may be offered if selected candidate is not local. Responsibilities include: Performs non-destructive tests (NDT) on parts and assemblies. Inspects metallic parts and assemblies for defects using automated and manual methods and techniques including, magnetic particle, florescent penetrant, and eddy current, etc. Interpret codes, standards & requirements concerning NDT methods. Cross-train, assist, and develop Level 2 technicians. Maintain and improve NDT work instructions, Assist with auditing NDT processes, records, and certifications. Create test processes and instructions (tech sheets). Issue resolutions and dispositions. Cross-train across quality functions for versatility. Maintain documentation structure and record storage per process. Ensure safe practices are utilized and in compliance with industry standards, specifications, government regulations and internal preventive maintenance requirements. Perform other quality inspections as required. Basic Qualifications High School Diploma, or equivalent Must have 2 or more years of work experience in Magnetic Particle Inspection Ability to work overtime or non-standard work schedule. Must be able to pass an Eye Exam prior to start. Desired Qualifications Florescent Penetrant Inspection is also preferred. Certification in Multiple Non-Destructive Test/Inspection (NDT) Disciplines preferred. Salary Range: $45,800 - $76,300 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
