Harrington Hospital in Southbridge provides medical and surgical inpatient and outpatient care, including emergency services to patients in Southbridge, Sturbridge, Brimfield, Charlton and beyond. Our hospital has received numerous quality awards and achievements over the past several years, including top scores for patient safety and exceeding clinical outcomes. The hospital offers a comprehensive list of family-based health care, including advanced diagnostic imaging, adult inpatient care and outpatient cardiac rehabilitation. We have a 14-bed adult psychiatric care unit, as well as laboratory services, nutrition counseling, primary and specialty care offices, physical and occupational therapy, and more. Our adult medical/surgical inpatient floors are equipped to handle post-operative patients, admitted patients from emergency visits, illness, respiratory, cardiac and other conditions. We also capacity for same-day pediatric patients. Harrington has a staffed intensive care unit, coupled with an eICU, a state-of-the-art monitoring system designed to improve support to patients. Our Southbridge campus has a fully-staffed cafeteria, an on-site ATM, gift shop, Chapel, financial counselors and many other patient- and family-centered services. Schedule: Our Nocturnists work a block schedule - 7 on, 7 off, 7pm-7am Administrative Responsibilities: Participates in the performance improvement, utilization management and quality assurance programs of each Hospital Department. Performs other administrative services as may be required from time to time by the Hospitalist Program Clinical Responsibilities: Provide services as an attending physician in internal medicine to unassigned patients and patients admitted to the Hospitalist Service, and consultative services in internal medicine to other inpatients. Perform initial evaluations on unassigned patients, patients admitted to the Hospitalist Service, and those other patients as requested by any attending physician of record, or their covering physician, or other health care professional (private patients). Perform initial histories and physical examinations ("H&P") with a written plan of management and orders for all patients evaluated during the Hospitalist's scheduled hours rendering Hospitalist Medicine Services.
