Job Description:
Seeking a NOC Operations Manager for a permanent position with a financial services company in Winston-Salem, NC.
The schedule for this role is night shift, Thursday - Saturday 7:00pm-7:00am. The This is 100% onsite.
The Operations Manager provides leadership to the Operations team to ensure transactions are processed with the highest level of quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for supervising the process for bank settlements and cut-offs
- Ensure all incoming inquiries are responded to in a timely and accurate manner
- Supervise desktop exercises with staff to maintain incident readiness
- Ensure documentation accuracy and development for day to day process
- Issue resolution and closure on internal issue tracking system
- Supervise weekend testing when assigned
- Ability to implement procedures and policies for new business; coordinate and partner with internal business units
- Effectively handle system and staff concerns with proper escalation to appropriate subject matter experts and management
- Ensure the training and cross training of staff on all application and systems
- Supervise day-to-day shift operations
- The employee will work through a training period of approximately 5 weeks; during training they may work alternate shifts
- Occasional travel may be required
- Must provide coverage for either day or night shift and be available to work weekends if needed
- All service level agreements are achieved
- All issues expeditiously resolved and thoroughly documented
- All documentation completed and maintained accordingly
- 100% compliance with internal regulatory requirements
- Ensure training of staff with a focus of skill development and contingency readiness
- Clear and timely communication with internal and external customers and co-workers
- Maintenance of department procedures, schedules, and checklists
- Maintenance and creation of reports for team and management
Skills:
- 5+ years overall IT experience
- 3+ years NOC experience in a data center environment (preferred)
- Experience working as a manager or lead
- Experience with Linux, Unix, AIX or Mainframe (preferred)
- Experience with Windows Distributed systems environment
- Experience with networking systems
- Experience working in the financial services/banking industry (preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred)
