Night Shift Quality Technician

The Quality Assurance (QA) Laboratory Technician is responsible for all aspects of product safety and product quality systems to ensure all products placed on the market are fully compliant to customer, regulatory, industry and La Colombe requirements. Performs product tests, audits and calibrations in a safe, efficient and accurate manner. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform tests, audits and calibrations as needed and required. Maintain accurate documentation as needed and required. Maintains regular and predictable attendance, as well as working overtime as needed. Complete "if down, do" lists as necessary. Complete safety observations as assigned. Keep the work area neat and clean. Applies HACCP to identify and control food safety hazards. Follow established programs, policies and GMP practices to produce safe quality foods that meet regulatory and company requirements. Applies scientific knowledge, principles to identify and manage risks. Interfaces effectively with customers; ensures products meet customer specifications; answers questions and solves customer problems. Applies knowledge of quality standards and tools to enhance food safety and quality. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Must be at least 18 years of age. Minimum of two years previous quality assurance lab experience in a food manufacturing environment. High School Diploma or GED. Associate Degree in related field a plus. Knowledge of food microbiology and chemistry. FDA and USDA regulatory requirements. Basic math and computer skills. Effective written and verbal communication skills. Able to work with diverse teams.
