SUMMARY OF POSITION: The Home Construction Quality Manager will be responsible for all daily duties that involve the oversight of successful and timely construction of residential homes. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Work with Division President and General Counsel to ensure quality standards are being met and building code satisfied at various stages of construction progress Develop and implement best practices to ensure compliance with building codes and other manufacturer requirements in the field Ensures that blueprints and plans and specs are correct in all respects and related construction in the field sufficiently complies On job training of all builders in process and procedures Evaluates and maintains effectiveness of staff, maintain minimum performance level via training/hiring/replacement Facilitates training for builders as needed Maintain and enforce work place safety requirements EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related field of study or equivalent experience At least eight (8) years previous construction experience in new construction and in a supervisory capacity Homebuilding software experience is preferred Reliable automobile and a valid driver's license. SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES: Knowledge of Colorado Building Code and relevant local building codes Exceptional communication skills - both written and verbal Work in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment with tight deadlines. Maintain attention to detail and follow through. Make decisions and resolve problems efficiently and effectively.
