I have a 6+ month contract for a Network Security Engineer to join the team. This is working for one of our top tier clients in East Hartford, CT.

Responsibilities:
- Must possess understanding of networking concepts and protocols, and be proficient in Microsoft operating systems.
- Must have experience with Windows 10, Microsoft servers and VMware and be an expert in Active Directory and Group Policy.
- Technical understanding of vulnerabilities and how attackers can exploit vulnerabilities to compromise systems.
- Experience with network vulnerability management software for patching, configuring and detecting network vulnerabilities required.
- A minimum of 5 years of hands-on network security experience with implementing and maintaining security controls, patch management and the duties and responsibilities specified.
- BA/BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cyber Security or a related technical field preferred.
- Experience with digital certificates and disk encryption.
Qualifications:
- Technical proficiency and knowledge in information assurance, network security, computer information systems, computer science, or management information systems.
- Hands-on experience with relevant compliance and vulnerability management technologies such as Nessus, Qualys and Rapid7
• Familiarity with information security policies, standards, industry best practices, and frameworks (NIST 800-53, FISMA).
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations: CCNA or ISC certifications a plus
