- Bachelor's of Science (BS) & 4 years of relevant work experience required OR 8 years of relevant experience OR Master's of Science (MS) & 2 years experience TEKsystems is looking for a Tier III Senior Network Engineer to provide Tier III routing and switching support with hands on experience designing, testing, and implementing Wide Area Network Protocols (Border Gateway Protocols, Virtualization protocols of specific interest)
VPN experience
IGP (Interior Gateway), EGP (Exterior Gateway), MPLS (Multi Protocol), VRF (Virtual Routing), and NFV (Network Function Virtualization)/Service Chaining on an enterprise network to meet security, performance, operational, and functional requirements.
Ensuring proper routing protocols are being applied to optimize the end-to-end network performance from the Local Area Network (LAN) through a Wide Area Network (WAN), to a Campus Area Network (CAN), to a Storage Area Network (SAN), or data center.
Cisco experience required, Juniper is a plus.
Assisting the government customer with identifying any derived design objectives, technical specifications, performance requirements, and interoperability specifications to ensure the system design will meet stakeholder end-to-end requirements.
Ensure the system design adheres to industry standards, DOD standards, DOD policies, DOD instructions, DOD directives, cybersecurity policies, and best commercial practices.
Develop presentations to stakeholders articulating the gaps, requirements, objectives, functional and solution architecture.
Develop, review, and update briefings, papers, and/or spreadsheets to meet customer requirements.
Provide analysis for how the operational, functional, and performance requirements will be met as part of the system design, test, and implementation of initial capabilities.
