Calibro Corp is hiring a Network Engineer.

On-site 2 days/week in Richmond, VA

We are on the hunt for a proactive Network Engineer with a strong tech background. In this role, you'll spearhead the engineering and operational activities for both campus and datacenter networks. Collaboration is key; you'll work closely with other engineers and Infrastructure Architects on project and operational designs. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives on prioritizing tasks and managing daily workloads efficiently. You should be adept at analyzing and resolving intricate issues within the client's network.

Key Responsibilities:

Leverage expert-level skills in routing & switching, Wi-Fi, and network packet brokers to design, implement, and maintain our datacenter and campus networks.

Provide hands-on operational support for the client's Arista LAN and Wi-Fi infrastructure.

Assess network designs for EVPN, VxLAN, and leaf-spine architectures, making recommendations for deployment, upgrades, and enhancements.

Deploy and manage Arista's NDR and AGNI Security solutions.

Develop and execute a robust network infrastructure monitoring and alerting strategy.

Ensure interoperability between Arista and other networking solutions, such as Cisco and Palo Alto.

Assist with configuration buildouts, including crafting network provisioning automation using Python and tools like Chef or Ansible.

Drive continuous improvement of processes and documentation for network assets.

Collaborate on troubleshooting incidents for clients and liaise with vendor support as necessary.

Cultivate and maintain partnerships with external vendors, particularly Arista TAC.

Transform complex business requirements into effective leaf-spine network solutions.

Stay updated with the latest in technology, security, and networking through ongoing training.

Support client business services by meeting documented SLA timings and adhering to all change management processes.

Ensure our network infrastructure's security solutions, policies, and procedures are robust and responsive to potential threats.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills & Experience:

Preferred Network Industry Certification: Arista ACE 3 or above

Proficiency in CloudVision

Experience with Arista (preferred) or another commercial Wi-Fi platform.

10+ years of experience in network technologies, including network design and deployments of campus and data center networks.

Expert knowledge of leaf-spine architectures.

Proficiency in Ethernet, VLANs, VxLAN, VPN, IP Routing, TCP/IP, OSPF, BGP, IPsec, MACsec, Multicast, QoS, Wi-Fi, VoIP, and 802.1X.

Expertise in at least one area of Data Center related technologies: Openstack, SDN, NFV, Load Balancers, Virtualization, Linux tools.

Background in Perl, Python, and scripting for network automation.

Excellent customer service, verbal communication, and written documentation skills.

Experience working in an ITIL or similar service operational environment.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with Palo Alto firewalls.

Knowledge of Citrix NetScaler or load balancing.

Experience with Zscaler Secure Private Access.

Familiarity with Nutanix Flow or virtual machine micro-segmentation.

Knowledge of Microsoft Azure networking.

Experience with a Network Access Control solution.
