Position Overview:

Sonance is looking for an energetic technology enthusiast to join our global IT team. The Network and Security Administrator would be the key person in keeping our systems, networks, and technology safe. This position will be responsible for designing and maintaining Networks, System Security and bringing modern technology to Sonance while working closely with The IT Director of Networks and Cybersecurity. The candidate best suited for this position will be someone who loves to stay on forefront of technology and bring practical and efficient solutions in network management and connectivity, is able to work independently and is highly motivated to engage various teams to improve employee and customer experience. The Network and Security Administrator will be an integral part of our dynamic IT team through contributing to various facets of IT as well as contributing to making a significant difference to the Company technology roadmap. The position is on-site, located at our Headquarters in San Clemente, CA.

Requirements:

Primary responsibility is to maintain efficient, reliable, and secure network services and cyber security practices for all Sonance sites. Also planning, designing, and implementation of network infrastructure solutions to meet any current and future organizational needs.

Monitor daily operations and troubleshoot problems across all activities associated with internet and intranet network services, wired and wireless, as well as the underlying hardware and software supporting the network infrastructure.

Work on cross-department and cross-company projects while assisting other IT team members (development, server, desktop) in day-to-day operations.

Perform internal and external monitoring, fault notification and management.

Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to optimize network efficiency and reliability.

Accurately document all aspects of networking infrastructure.

Conducts daily analyses of various reports, logs, and documentation of system changes, propose and initiate corrective actions.

Develop, maintain, and administer network operational and administrative procedures and standards to exceed business expectations.

Develop and implement cybersecurity policies, procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization's IT assets, data, and systems from cyber threats.

Stay abreast of security threats and vulnerabilities, working with IT team and business users to make the Sonance network as secure as possible.

Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and penetration testing to identify security gaps and vulnerabilities.

Managing, monitoring, and updating malware prevention systems, email routing and fishing detection and response practices

Be part of Incident response team and provide subject matter expertise during a technology emergency.

Manage end point security with corporate security and intrusion prevention platforms in place.
Takes responsibility for all network-related projects.

On-call responsibilities, available outside work shifts when required to respond to outages and/or security threats Apart from network security, actively research and propose latest technology to provide top class customer and client experience in the facility.


Qualifications:

Has superior analytical, evaluative, and problem-solving abilities.

Has strong attention to detail and a strong work ethic and pride in delivering quality work with a security first attitude.

Strong experience with firewall and network design (Palo Alto Firewall management), SD-WAN and BGP routing (7-8 yrs.)

Experience with Site-to-Site IPsec VPN management and optimization, AWS VPC's, QOS and Differentiated Services.

Familiarity with Public cloud (AWS and Azure) design, and Colocation, Datacenter, Hybrid Cloud Delivery Models

Understanding of Endpoint Configuration Management Concepts (Intune, JAMF, Mosyle)

Experience with Identity Management Concepts (Azure, Active Directory, DUO, Okta)

Experience with Cisco Meraki switches, Aruba WiFi, RUCKUS WiFi, layer 2/3 WAN, LAN/VLAN, Palo Alto firewalls, Global Protect VPN.

Cisco Secure Endpoint / Microsoft Defender.

Strong background in cybersecurity, networking, and servers, preferably holding industry standard certifications.

Experience in managing vulnerability and risk assessment, MFA, and password management.

Experience in Disaster recovery, familiarity with computer forensic tools.

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field; relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is highly desirable.
