Summary:

A leading distribution center is currently seeking a Network Administrator. This role is pivotal in providing technical support across a multi-shift manufacturing and front office user community. Responsibilities include the implementation, maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the organization's voice and data communications infrastructure, planning technological improvements, and ensuring robust information security.


Responsibilities:

  • Analyze, diagnose, and resolve complex problems for end-users, implementing corrective solutions.

  • Monitor Local Area Networks, computer hardware and software performance, addressing security vulnerabilities with regular maintenance and anti-virus monitoring.

  • Serve as a liaison for vendor-supported hardware and/or software, coordinating maintenance activities.

  • Collaborate with corporate IT teams on migration plans for on-site assets to regional data centers and cloud services.

  • Plan and implement projects that ensure business continuity, considering fiscal responsibility.

  • Manage daily backups, ensuring process integrity and seeking improvement opportunities.

  • Maintain voice and data communication infrastructure.

  • Assist internal customers in obtaining and effectively using hardware, software, and services.

  • Oversee the installation, configuration, testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting of end-user workstations and related hardware and software.

  • Conduct IT maintenance activities during scheduled off-hour windows.


Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Management & Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Network/Systems Administrator or in a similar role.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and a general understanding of network protocols and technologies.

  • Experience with Cisco switch configuration and management, Microsoft Server 2008 R2 - 2019, Windows 10, VMware ESXi 5.5 / 6.5 / 7.0, and SAN technology.

  • Familiarity with SATO/Datamax barcode label printers, SQL database administration, hybrid exchange environments, and SD-WAN technologies (Velocloud, Zscaler) preferred.

  • Knowledge in Ruckus Access Points, Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft DPM 2010, Veeam Backup and Replication, HP Printer hardware, and SATO/Datamax Barcode Label printer hardware advantageous.

  • Powershell and VB Scripting skills are helpful but not required.
