For individuals who can take the initiative but work well within a team. The role Fugro are seeking an Technical Supervisor within the Falmouth, Cornwall Hub, for the Nearshore Team. The Nearshore team deliver geo-technical ground investigation projects across the UK and Europe, within renewable and infrastructure industries. The Technical Manager is a key member of the operations team. You will have a focus on HSSE improvements and initiatives, and ensure the UK LSC remains the Centre of Expertise for producing drilling methodology, technical and operational guidance as well as equipment selection, upgrades, and new builds. Your role will support the technical and cultural development of staff to increase performance and skills in operating and maintaining plant and equipment. Who we're looking for: The Technical Supervisor will have proven successful operational experience within the drilling sector or similar industry, of managing the operations to maintain heavy mechanical plant equipment. The Technical Supervisor will evidence effective and strong communications, with a proactive and supportive attitude and leads by example, motivating the team, and collaborating with external and internal stakeholders. You will take ownership of the Nearshore plant and equipment holding including the modular JUB's to ensure condition standards are upheld. Ensuing the equipment is mobilised and operated onto projects as designed, bridge technical knowledge between equipment management and operations, manage, drive and quality control work through the workshop, and input into operational methodology and innovation. You will engage and feedback to field personnel and management on maintenance requirements, expectations, and condition reports. Support and inspire innovation ideas and activities within the business. You will show the ability to manage challenging situations and make decisions under pressure, diligent and hardworking.
