Job Number 664724BR Description:Responsible for Navigation System equipment suites, hardware and software configuration setups, and equipment interfaces. Responsible systems include: NAVSSI, AN/WSN-7, DEMIL, MORIAH, AIS, SPA-25, Fathometer, LINK, and communication suite. Provide oversight and support for all shipyard navigational testing. Support physical layer testing and troubleshooting, including, but not limited to fiber optic testing and troubleshooting. Complete functional testing requirements on all Navigational Systems. Ensure that the ships Navigational Systems are available to support all scheduled testing.
Basic Qualifications:
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to obtain and maintain a SECRET security clearance.
Demonstrate ability to work with minimal supervision in an interrupt-driven, multi-tasking environment.
Possess strong communication skills required for effective interface with management, ship builder, vendors, and the customer.
Show awareness of systems implementation and integration process, including planning, scheduling, and resolving dependencies.
Specific knowledge of NAVSSI, AN/WSN-7, AIS, MORIAH, DEMIL and Fathometer equipment.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Ability to ride US Navy Ships for up to 30 days.
Candidate will be required to go underway on units and to frequently work on moored pier-side units. Physical ability to navigate steep stairs and ladders as well as work in confined spaces is a requirement.
Desired Skills:
Knowledge of ship navigation, ship automation, and ship propulsion control/monitoring system equipment operation and integration.
Working knowledge of LINK and ship's communications suite. Knowledge of DDG 51 class ships, including navigation systems
Experience with large scale Ship Integration and Test practices.
Experience interfacing with US Navy personnel and familiarity with US Navy command structure.
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
