Job Summary Statement:

The Sr. National Sales Manager will manage all aspects of the sales activities with Walmart and (url removed). Aggressively pursue placement of all newly introduced products. Develop thorough understanding of competitive products and pricing. Build strong relationships at buyer level and all relevant positions across assigned business. in assigned accounts.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Development of sales programs and presentations.

Development and maintenance of account sales forecasts and budgets.

Prepare sales contracts, presentations and special sales programs in both oral and written form.

Works closely with IPC replenishment team to drive improvements through recommendations and solutions.

Travels to attend trade/sales conferences as needed and account calls. Travel related to this position is approximately 20%.

Demonstrates product knowledge (form/function/features/benefits) of all Igloo products, as well as maintaining a working knowledge of competitive product features, benefits and retail pricing.

Develops growth opportunities product presentation, follow-up and reporting.

Works closely with the product teams through the EPR & SRF process to ensure samples/presentations and pricing are available for critical meetings (Pre Line Review, Line Reviews, etc.)

Prepares and submits required sales reports, administrative reports and forecasts on a timely basis.

Manages sales expenses to plan. Maintains complete and up-to-date records of all expenses and submits expense reports in a timely manner.

Maintains awareness of competitive changes in the marketplace (products/programs), and communicates this information to superiors in a useful and timely manner.

Provides agency (where applicable) and customer assistance on implementation of all Igloo sales and marketing programs.

Works to resolve disputes and solves problems with assigned accounts in an effort to facilitate positive customer relationships.

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications:

Education: Four-year college degree

Experience: 5 years sales experience selling consumer products to Wal-Mart. Retail consumer package goods and seasonal business background a plus.

English language skills: Ability to respond effectively in both written and oral form.

Math skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts in the development of forecasts, budgets, pricing, etc.

Physical Demands essential to the job: Ability to travel (20%), work extended hours. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Solid presentation and negotiating skills. Must be able to effectively develop and deliver compelling and informative product presentations.

Understanding of and effective with Retail Link, Walmart processes

Understanding of both Category Management and Fact-Based Selling principles.

Sound analytical skills.

Ability to communicate effectively, in written and oral form, with both internal and external customers on a timely manner.

Strong Negotiation skills
