Activities related to college teaching and learning in the field of Music, including but not limited to the duties listed below: Instructional planning, teaching, and evaluation of students in the classroom and in applied individual lessons for piano and/or string instruments. Assessment of student learning outcomes at course level, program level, and college-wide level. Informal student advising. Maintenance of professional skills and credentials. Work with dean and division faculty to maintain and revise curriculum as needed. Participation in college-wide committees, as time allows. Master's degree with a major in music or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in music. Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college. Dedication to teaching and student learning providing quality education emphasizing college level standards. Commitment to studying, analyzing, and implementing learning strategies that will help students reach their education goals. Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles. Excellent interpersonal and team building skills.
