Activities related to college teaching and learning in the field of Music, including but not limited to the duties listed below: Instructional planning, teaching, and evaluation of students in the classroom and in applied individual lessons for piano and/or string instruments. Assessment of student learning outcomes at course level, program level, and college-wide level. Informal student advising. Maintenance of professional skills and credentials. Work with dean and division faculty to maintain and revise curriculum as needed. Participation in college-wide committees, as time allows. Master's degree with a major in music or a Master's degree with a minimum of 18 semester credits (27 graduate quarter credits) in music. Demonstrate familiarity with and commitment to the mission and constituencies of a comprehensive community and technical college. Commitment to studying, analyzing, and implementing learning strategies that will help students reach their education goals. Experience using teaching techniques that support diverse learning styles.
