Position Overview:

Freddie Mac's Finance division is currently seeking a Financial Planning & Analysis Professional Analyst to be part of the Multifamily CFO department. The Multifamily CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, profitability analysis, loan and guarantee valuation activities, and financial planning & analysis for Freddie Mac's Multifamily segment. The hired individual will be part of the financial planning & analysis team and contribute to the financial forecasting, regulatory capital reporting and analysis, stress loss scenarios, including Dodd-Frank Act Stress Test (DFAST), reporting and analysis and various other analytics for the Multifamily business.

The Multifamily CFO department is responsible for financial accounting and reporting, profitability analysis, loan and guarantee valuation activities, and FP&A for Freddie Mac's Multifamily business segment. We are on a mission to expand affordable rental housing for all Americans, while building a better multifamily finance system.

Your Impact:
  • Perform user acceptance tests and draft business requirements for application enhancements and process automations

  • Develop process and build queries to enhance team productivities

  • Analyze profitability and forecast the financial impacts of new Multifamily business strategies and new business initiatives

  • Prepare recurring financial forecasts, including various supporting schedules

  • Analyze financial results by comparing actual to forecast

  • Prepare annual DFAST and other stress scenario analytics and reports

  • Prepare presentations delivered to senior management and the Board of Directors

  • Execute controls and maintain supporting documents

  • Interface other departments within the company

Qualifications:
  • 5-7 years of proven experience in fixed income, financial services, credit performance, and/or financial analysis

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related degree

  • Knowledge of GAAP financial accounting and reporting

  • Experience with system enhancements and implementation

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft PowerPoint, experience in data mining, and the ability to learn other software

  • Solid financial analytical skills

  • Multifamily mortgage markets experience

  • Progress towards relevant advanced degree preferred

  • Progress towards CFA, CPA, or related certifications preferred

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $101,000 - $151,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
