We are seeking a highly skilled, passionate and reliable Permanent Multicraft Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment in a fast-paced, high-tech environment. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving our production machinery to ensure optimal performance and efficiency. This role requires a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.
Responsibilities:
- Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment and plant facilities to ensure optimal performance.
- Diagnose and repair malfunctioning production and plant equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems to identify issues and develop solutions.
- Read and interpret equipment manuals and work orders to perform necessary maintenance.
- Work with PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley PLC's, and understand ladder logic to troubleshoot, maintain and improve machinery.
- Install, maintain and troubleshoot AC and DC drives.
- Work with electrical schematics, wiring, 24VDC, 11VAC, and 460VAC systems.
- Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
- Identify opportunities for improvements and make constructive suggestions for change.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure that machines are functioning properly and safely.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in a manufacturing maintenance role.
- Technical degree or certification in Industrial Maintenance or related field is preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical schematic reading and troubleshooting.
- Experience with AC and DC drives, 24VDC, 11VAC, and 460VAC systems.
- Hands-on experience with PLCs, specifically Allen Bradley PLC's, and understanding of ladder logic.
- Proven experience in installation and wiring.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Commitment to adhere to all safety protocols and workplace policies.
- Must be able to perform physical tasks such as lifting, climbing, and standing for long periods.
- Must be willing to work flexible hours, including overtime when necessary.
