As a Multi-Modality Technologist, you will provide exemplary patient care in general radiography and at least one area of specialty (e.g. Picture Archival Communications System, CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Special Procedures, Mammography). You will be responsible for:

  • Remaining abreast of new procedures, equipment, and methods along with participation in their evaluation and application.
  • Maintaining excellent customer relations within the appropriate section, within Imaging Services and throughout the Health System.
  • Performing modality functions for at least 10% of assigned shifts.
  • Performing procedures per established protocols and procedures. Consulting with Radiologists for any clinical deviations concerning patient care/exam protocol needs.
  • Assessing patient prior to exams requiring the administration of contrast media and records all pertinent information to include, but not limited to, medical history, vital signs and contraindications.
  • Obtaining all necessary signatures or direct physician authorizations on the informed consent documents for all examinations utilizing the administration of contrast media.
  • Communicating with the public, medical staff, and interdepartmental personnel regarding customer needs.
  • Maintaining extremely confidential and accurate records manually and electronically to ensure appropriate patient data is available.
  • Helping in all sections within Imaging Services and aids other personnel in monitoring and ensuring patient charts/records are complete and accurate.
