Data/PowerBI Analyst Role Summary: As a Data/PowerBI Analyst, you will play a crucial role in harnessing the power of data analytics to develop comprehensive reports and visualizations, enhancing financial analysis and decision-making processes. This position demands a collaborative spirit, exceptional communication skills, and a direct approach to problem-solving.
Key Data/PowerBI Analyst Responsibilities: - Identify and understand business requirements within the context of Business Intelligence (BI), developing data models to turn raw data into actionable insights.
- Design and implement interactive dashboards and visual reports using Power BI to meet organizational needs.
- Establish and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to track and achieve specific objectives.
- Perform data analysis and present findings in clear, concise reports to support strategic decisions.
- Translate business requirements into technical specifications, outlining timelines for project milestones.
- Develop, test, and deploy Power BI scripts, conducting in-depth analyses to ensure efficiency.
- Utilize DAX queries and functions within Power BI for advanced data manipulation.
- Generate comprehensive charts and document data, including algorithms, parameters, models, and their interrelationships.
- Construct and maintain a data warehouse to consolidate various data sources.
- Employ SQL queries to extract and analyze data effectively.
Essential Data/PowerBI Analyst Qualifications: - Proven experience with BI tools and systems, including Power BI, Tableau, and Microsoft software platforms.
- Strong background in data-related roles, with an emphasis on financial analysis.
- Familiarity with the Microsoft BI Stack and proficiency in MS SQL Server BI Stack tools and technologies, such as SSRS, TSQL, Power Query, MDX, PowerBI, and DAX.
- Understanding of key financial concepts, including the differences between Net Income and Gross Profit, and the distinctions between a Profit & Loss (P&L) statement and a balance sheet.
