MS Access Database with Security Clearance

The position is full time on-site at NSWC Carderock in West Bethesda MD supporting the Signature Materials Physics branch and requires a SECRET clearance. The Signature Materials Physics group performs research, development, and test on materials that affect signatures of naval platforms. The role is primarily a MS Access database maintainer. The branch has a large MS Access database containing most of their data going back many years. It has grown organically over the years and didn't have a lot of thought put into its design. The customer is looking for a moderately experienced Access person (8 years experience or so) to perform maintenance and upgrades to that database. Additionally, the customer does not believe the Access work will be full time so they are looking for someone who can also lend a hand in their other technical work when needed and available. This work runs a wide range of technical tasks but basically anyone who is comfortable with hand tools would be a good fit. The customer strongly prefers someone with a technical degree.
