Per Diem 181 Main St. Professional - Clinical Day Shift Position Summary The MRI Technologist performs a variety of technical procedures involving the application of magnetic resonance for patient diagnosis, with knowledge of all pertinent technical and academic areas to produce consistent, high quality examinations. Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs) Education: Associate's Degree or Applied Science Degree in related field is required. Continuing education is expected. License/Certifications: Venipuncture certification where applicable is required. Current BCLS required. Experience: Progressive experience and demonstrated technological skills is desired. Registry with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT) is required. Must apply and take ARRT Advanced MRI Registry examination within 18 months of date of hire Working knowledge applicable to MR scanning technology with specific references to cross-sectional anatomy, medical and surgical disease, and scientific principles as applied to MR scans is desired Excellent communication and interpersonal skills necessary for interacting with patients, physicians, supervisors and other staff Ability to respond the changing workload based on patient census Ability to maintain professional manner even under stressful situations Additional Information MaineHealth was ranked one of America's Best Large Employers in 2022 by Forbes.
