Brief Overview of the Position: The Clinical Placement Coordinator (CPC) plays a crucial role in establishing partnerships between FPU's health training programs and clinical facilities to secure quality placements for students. This position collaborates with program leadership to manage clinical schedules, ensure compliance with health and safety standards, coordinate faculty and student orientation, and address placement-related concerns. The CPC also conducts placement analysis, participates in accreditation activities, and oversees operational aspects of clinical placements. Typical Schedule: This is a full-time exempt position with typical hours from Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. However, flexibility is required, including availability for early mornings, evenings, or weekends to accommodate program needs. Job Responsibilities and Essential Functions: Negotiate clinical schedules and develop rotation schedules. Maintain student and preceptor data in clinical tracking software. Foster positive relationships with clinical site staff. Oversee the administration of clinical education. Assist faculty and preceptors with clinical tracking software. Coordinate administrative tasks related to clinical rotations. Monitor student progress and troubleshoot concerns. Assist with immersion activities and compile reports. Prepare and monitor clinical affiliation agreements. Answer inquiries from students and preceptors. Comply with accreditation standards and university policies. Position Requirements/Skills/Abilities: Minimum of 3 years of relevant administrative experience. Associate degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office software. Strong customer service and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities. Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism. Familiarity with clinical tracking software is a plus. Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally. Must be able to sit for extended periods and stand up to 15% of the time.
