As a Loan Officer, you will be an integral part of our dynamic and growing team. Your role will be pivotal in helping individuals and families realize their dreams of homeownership. You will be responsible for assisting customers in obtaining residential mortgage loans, providing sound advice on loan products, and ensuring a smooth and successful loan process. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact in people's lives while growing your career in the mortgage industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with real estate agents, financial planners, individual borrowers, and builders to attract new business.
  • Interview applicants to determine their ability to qualify for residential mortgages.
  • Analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
  • Explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, as well as the terms of those services.
  • Obtain and compile copies of loan applicants' credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
  • Review and update credit and loan files.
  • Submit applications to credit analysts for verification and recommendation.
  • Handle customer complaints and take appropriate action to resolve them.
  • Stay abreast of new types of loans and other financial services and products in order to better meet customers' needs.

Qualifications:

  • Valid NMLS License.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience in Mortgage Lending.
  • Experience as an independent mortgage banker.
  • Familiarity with obtaining 1003, AUS findings, and the ability to analyze credit, income, asset, and collateral.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, with a genuine desire to help people achieve their goals.
  • Strong understanding of loan underwriting and processing procedures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and loan management software.
  • Ability to handle confidential material in a professional, highly ethical manner.
  • Strong analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and work well under pressure.
  • A strong commitment to continuous professional growth and development.
