Participate in the support of applications and interfaces for both development and production support teams
Act as subject matter professional in performance tuning
Apply knowledge of Disaster Recovery setup and testing
Review and analyze Outage Management Systems to ensure backend tuning and monitoring is most appropriate and effective
Maintain database systems at the latest security patch levels
Design and implement security solutions including Center for Internet Security benchmarks and auditing
Approve all production changes, database designs and follow the change management process
Engage various teams of troubleshooters to assess system health and issues
Implement monitoring that allows proactive measures to be taken minimizing system downtime
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal customers
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Mongo Experience:
Building and supporting a MongoDB Ops Manager environment
Implementing Kerberos and/or LDAP authorization and authentication with MongoDB
Supporting MongoDB databases scaled across data centers.
Supporting MongoDB Shards.
With Pearl and/or Java scripting
With backup and restore of MongoDB databases using LVM snapshots and Ops Manager backups
In writing MongoDB Schema using Mongos.
With setting and tuning MongoDB system parameters
With using MongoDB Ops Manager
With Jira and Agile delivery
