Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Model-Based Systems Engineer to join our team in Hurlburt Field Air Force Base, FL . Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Uses model-based systems engineering (MBSE) to develop and integrate systems modeling language (SysML)-compliant models and produce DoD Architecture Framework (DoDAF) artifacts.
Build SysML-compliant models with tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler within a Digital Engineering Environment (DEE).
Uses methods and techniques to build models for use in analysis of alternatives as requested.
Builds parametric models and other SysML diagrams to inform optimization of system performance against cost, risk, and performance constraints.
Work with engineers from other disciplines to use model-based Multidisciplinary Optimization and Analysis (MDAO) capability to assist with technology research within our DEE.
Adjust system models based on inputs and outputs for other disciplines' mathematical and model-driven simulations to explore system performance characteristics.
Based on technology research outputs, the MBSE II builds models to assess change impacts. Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Engineering, or a related discipline.
High School Diploma or equivalent with an additional 4 years of experience may used in lieu of required degree.
Additional higher education may be used as credit for experience.
2 years of position-specific relevant experience. Strong problem-solving, analytical, mathematical, and organizational skills are essential.
Experience with MagicDraw, Cameo Systems Modeler, CATIA, or other SysML/Modeling tools. Preferred Qualifications: OCSMP SysML or INCOSE Certifications.
Demonstrated understanding of Object-Oriented Systems Engineering Method (OOSEM).
Knowledge and understanding of Software Intensive Systems or Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems.
Experience modeling or simulating systems within DoD domains. Experience with MATLAB, AFSIM, SIMDIS, or similar modeling and simulation tools. Experience with C , Python, R, SQL, PostgreSQL, Linux, VBA, or STK. Clearance Requirements: This role requires an active TS/SCI clearance Physical Requirements: Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time
Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer
The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
