A Day in the Life:

As a Principal Systems Engineer, you will be the technical leader for our Deep Brain, Spinal Cord Stim, Targeted Drug Delivery, and Pelvic Health Implantable systems, focused on external devices and their accessories. This complex platform will require your in-depth knowledge of systems engineering principles, architecture, and requirements. In this role, you will lead technical strategy for new product introduction and as well as full lifecycle management, while also address field issues by understanding customer use across all therapies, changing regulations, and standards across the world.

Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

Analyze, update, and maintain Neuromodulation and Pelvic Health systems and features that meet the expectations and uses of the customer, regulatory agencies, and the business.

Effective technical team leader of a cross-functional team including software, security, hardware, COTS/3rd party suppliers, labeling/packaging, customer service, and marketing functions.

Provide technical solutions and strategy to a wide range of complex problems.

Execute projects within the constraints of budget, timeline, resources, and project performance requirements.

Communication and document tradeoffs, rationale, and potential solutions to Mobile Platform problems to vast cross-functional team.

Contribute, mentor, and build domain knowledge around neuromodulation mobile platform portfolio of systems device for both released and future systems.

Provide product engineering skills to troubleshoot (debug), test methods, procedures, specifications, requirements, and problems for Mobile Platform devices (applications, hardware, batteries MDM).

Oversee strategy for analyze returns, suppliers, and complaints from the field to determine failure mode and propose engineering solutions while working within constraints and optimizing cost.

Analyze, update, and maintain Neuromodulation systems and features that meet the expectations and uses of the customer, regulatory agencies, and the business.

Leadership in understanding and improving quality procedures, policy, and system.

Ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.

Foster an environment of collaboration and inclusion with cross-functional team members.

Must Haves - Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline

Minimum of 7 years of relevant engineering experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant engineering experience

Nice to Have:

7+ years of relevant job-related experience with a bachelor's degree.

5+ years of relevant job-related experience with a master's degree.

Released product systems engineering experience.

Experience technically leading teams through use of strong verbal and written communication and understanding long lasting impact to business of decisions.

Experience working in a regulated industry.

Change control process experience.

Experience with COTS Mobile Platform devices, including software, hardware, mobile device management.
