Summit Technical Solutions (STS) is seeking a Mid-Level Military Operations Analyst to develop and revise supporting work plans, prepare task order plans, conduct reviews and edit documents. This position is located at Fort Greely, Alaska. Please note: This is a TEMPORARY opportunity, expected to last approximately 8 weeks. Under minimal supervision, the operations analyst works with the team to propose innovative approaches to technical problems; develop requirements documents and documents; develop and/or maintain operations manuals; conducts site survey, write after-action reports; participate in meetings and telephone conferences with customers; write meetings summaries, progress reports, and position papers. The operations analyst prepares briefings and reports; conducts presentations; conducts analysis; develops work plans, schedules, and budget estimates; attends conferences and exchanges technical data, and provides general scientific, engineering and technical assistance. This role is responsible for the following job duties: Provide analytical support. Conduct research, analysis, and assessments to provide the most current information available on emerging Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) Operations. Assist in the development of the Army mission requirements utilizing the Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership, Policy, and Facilities (DOTMLPF) framework. Provide technical and advisory assistance for Army strategic and tactical planning and execution efforts regarding BMDS Operations. Assist in preparing comments, recommendations, and updates to strategic documents, congressional actions, legislation, regulations, and other associated documents with regard to emerging BMDS Operations initiatives and requirements. Provide planning, operational, analytical, evaluation, monitoring, tracking, research and technical services. Performs other duties as assigned. Required Skills Ability to make procedural decisions and judgments. Ability to foster a cooperative work environment. Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects and activities. Skill in budget preparation and fiscal management. Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community. Qualified candidate will have the following experience and qualifications: Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred 5+ years of related mission/functional area experience with Bachelor's degree; 8+ years with Associate's degree; 10+ years with High School Diploma/GED Strong communication skills with all levels of management, including high level executives Current Top Secret clearance Required Experience What makes STS great?
