Middleware Engineer
Salt Lake City, UT
Long-Term Contract: $45-$65
Our client is in search of a Middleware Engineer to join their team on a long-term contract
You will support the middleware platform as other team members work to replace the current API gateway
The ideal candidate not only understand middleware technical concepts but is able to communicate them as well.
Required Skills:
- 5+ years of experience as a Middleware Engineer, with a preferred 7-10 years of experience
- Proficiency in middleware technologies: WebSphere, WebLogic, and Apache
- Strong scripting experience (Shell, Python, or Perl scripting)
- Working knowledge of Linux and Unix operating systems, with experience in Red Hat Linux distributions preferred
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, Chef, Puppet, or similar
- Relevant certifications (e.g., IBM Certified System Administrator, Oracle WebLogic Certification) are a plus
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issues in middleware environments
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment
