Contract School Occupational Therapist for remainder of 23/24 school year & 24/25 school year

ProCare Therapy ispartnered with a school district located in Topeka, KS that isseeking a passionate and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join theirteam for the remainder of the school year with the opportunity to renew for the school year.

As a School Occupational Therapist, you will play a crucial role in providing support and services to students with diverse needs to help them succeed in their educational environment.

Caseload Details:

Full time: 37.5 hours per week
Monday - Friday
Hours: 8:00 - 3:00
Middle school caseload: 6th-8th grade
50-60 students on caseload
School experience preferred

Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living.
Develop individualized treatment plans and goals based on evaluation findings and student needs.
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in various settings, including individual and group sessions, classroom-based interventions, and consultative services.
Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and other professionals to integrate occupational therapy goals into students' individualized education programs (IEPs) and classroom activities.
Monitor student progress and adjust intervention strategies as necessary to support achievement of goals.
Educate school staff, parents, and caregivers on strategies and accommodations to support students' occupational therapy needs in the school environment.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of occupational therapy services, including evaluation reports, progress notes, and billing records, in compliance with district policies and state regulations.
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, case conferences, and professional development activities to support a collaborative approach to student support services.

Requirements:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
Kansas Occupational Therapist license
Must be able to pass a drug screen and background check
