Milton Town School District seeks to fill a middle school-level behavior interventionist position for a student-centered, skilled Behavior Interventionist to support emotional regulation, social cognition, and academics. This will be for the remainder of this school year. The successful candidates will have the ability: To work as a member of a team that employs restorative approaches in processing student behavior, repairing harm, and teaching pro-social problem-solving skills and/or To implement behavior intervention plans, collect and analyze data, and provide targeted interventions. Collaborate with professionals, including our behavior coach, special educators, guidance counselor, and classroom teachers. An advocate of inclusive education, a strong collaborator, and a problem solver are essential. Build strong relationships and communicate effectively with students, teachers, and families. Preference will be given to candidates with a bachelor's degree, two or more years of similar experience, and an overall background in special education or behavioral support. Expertise in the following areas will also be considered: CPI, LSCI, or other verbal de-escalation techniques, MTSS-B, and implementing different tiers of behavior support and social cognition / social thinking group facilitation. The hours are 7.5 hours per day and 37.5 hours per week. Benefits include health insurance, dental, and life insurance. The pay range is $18.50 to $25.00 based on experience and education level.
