Contract Duration: 6 Months
Required Skills & Experience - Advanced skills in MS Excel (ability to work with data and create reports consistently)
- 3+ years of experience in either a middle office/risk role and/or equivalent experience in supporting any CIB trading products.
- Knowledge and understanding of securities and products including:
- Profit and loss attribution
- RMBS Pass-Through bonds pricing and risk
- Strong operational experience with complicated transactions
- New Issue Bonds
- Re-securitization
- Deal Structuring
- OTC activities
- FINRA (Trace)
- Must be able to problem solve and demonstrate critical thinking skills
Desired Skills & Experience - Experience with trading applications such as Bloomberg, Calypso, and Broadridge
- MS Access experience
- Visual Basic Application (VBA) in MS Excel experience
What You Will Be Doing - Directly supports trading and hedging activities across TBA contracts, treasuries, futures, options, interest rate swaps, & CDS Index swaps.
- Responsibilities include real time Profit & Loss generation and attribution, exception resolution, project management, position and trade maintenance, and regulatory reporting.
- Interact closely with multiple business partners including Trading, Sales, Finance, Technology, Compliance, Auditors, MBS Allocations, Business Managers, Project Managers, and our internal TRACE reporting group.
- Work with external counterparties, including government housing agencies (Ginnie Mae, Freddie Mac, and Fannie Mae), in confirming new Issue requests, exchanges, and assuring trades settle appropriately.
- Responsible for a variety of day-to-day tasks, as well as ad hoc requests and project work.
