SPA's Sea Land Air (SLA) Division supports a diverse portfolio of national security government clients, including the Undersea Enterprise, the Navy Surface Community, the Navy MPTE Enterprise, the Air Force, Army, DoD Agencies, DARPA, international clients including the Canadian Navy and Australian Defence Force. Our primary objective is to provide timely, objective and analytic assessments that integrate the policy, operational, technical, programmatic and acquisition aspects of our clients' challenges. Leveraging both in-domain and cross-domain expertise to maximize our clients' success, SLA Division acts as trusted agents to senior decision-makers and key leaders and excels at providing data driven analytic insights, systems engineering, strategies and plans that address current and emerging challenges to national security. The Integrated Warfare Systems Group's (IWSG) focus is to provide engineering, technical and programmatic support to the Program Executive Office Integrated Warfare Systems, Above Water Sensors and Lasers (PEO IWS 2.0) Directorate. Efforts include overarching program management, test and evaluation, systems engineering, systems integration, international, cyber security, IT network and programmatic support for over 25 PEO IWS 2.0 advanced radar, phased array radar, electronic warfare, electro-optic, decoy and directed energy programs. Responsibilities We are seeking a Systems Engineer (SE) to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Integrated Combat Systems Department (V). You will work directly on tasks related to the Conventional Prompt Strike (CPS) Weapon Control System (WCS) and Large Missile Vertical Launch System (LMVLS) software integration with the Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE) element on Zumwalt class destroyers. You will provide representation for NSWCDD DDG-1000 SE team in support of PEO IWS 9, including coordination with other CPS and LMVLS stakeholders, in all relevant technical and programmatic discussions and events, identifying and communicating changes in requirements, programmatic events (technical reviews, test events, etc.), and CPS and LMVLS capabilities/limitations deltas that will impact the integration mission for the DDG-1000 program. You must have the ability to provide detailed and thorough engineering analysis and briefings and have the ability to work from NSWC Dahlgren area 4-5 days per week. Minimal travel is expected ( Do you excel at analysis and problem-solving techniques necessary to perform professional scientific/engineering work and excel in a team environment? Qualifications Required Qualifications: 5-12 years of demonstrated experience in systems engineering Active DoD Secret Clearance Desired Qualifications: Demonstrated experience with Navy ship/combat system integration or hypersonic weapons
