Mid Level Backend Developer

Federal Project - Applicant must be a United States Citizen or Permanent Residents, with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Baer is looking for Mid Level Backend Developer for a 3-month Federal Remote Project. Title:Mid Level Backend Developer Location:Remote (Must be based in US) Duration: 3 month Rate: All-inclusive Alignment: W2 or C2C (Vendors Not Permitted) Responsibilities: Design and develop scalable and efficient backend solutions within the Kafka application. Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code in Java. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure seamless integration with front-end components. Work closely with the testing team to ensure high-quality deliverables by addressing bugs and implementing necessary changes. Ensure the integration of various backend services with the Kafka application, optimizing performance and scalability. Utilize AWS services to enhance the backend infrastructure, ensuring robust and scalable solutions. Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies in backend development. Continuously improve existing systems and processes by adopting best practices and implementing new technologies. Required Skills and Experience: Apache Kafka: 3+ years of experience in developing and managing Kafka-based applications. Structured Query Language (SQL): 3+ years of experience with SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing database performance. Java: 3+ years of experience in Java development, with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns. Amazon Web Services (AWS): 3+ years of experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, Lambda, and RDS. Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Preferred Qualifications: Experience with other backend technologies and frameworks. Knowledge of RESTful API design and development. Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes. Understanding of Agile development methodologies. Public Trust Security Clearanceisthe lowest level of additional background screening that the federal government requires for applicants of certain jobs, which includes completing a Standard Form 85 (SF85) form.
