Base Salary: $110,000-$130,000/yr.
Schedule: M-F 8am-5pm

Job Summary:

As the Manager, you will drive the achievement of business objectives by providing exceptional leadership, technical expertise, and team development. Your role will involve identifying and integrating key technologies, navigating industry challenges, and meeting customer needs to uphold our status as a premier service provider.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Stay abreast of relevant regulatory and guidance documents.
  • Develop or oversee the creation of study protocols and reports for various microbiology processes.
  • Provide expert technical, regulatory, and compliance guidance to team members and clients.
  • Review and approve data generated by Microbiology personnel.
  • Lead or conduct intricate studies and interface with QA, Facilities, and clients as required.
  • Identify, schedule, and manage project needs and assignments.
  • Supervise technical personnel, fostering depth and cross-training initiatives, and delegate responsibilities effectively.
  • Interface with clients to expand our customer base.
  • Collaborate with Client Services, and sales to prepare quotes and facilitate proposal development.
  • Assess equipment and resource needs and drive continuous improvement across various operational aspects.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Microbiology or related science; Master's degree preferred, or equivalent education and experience, required.
  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in pharma or medical device Microbiology, or equivalent combination of education and experience, required.
  • 3+ years of experience in supervising and managing direct personnel.
  • Proficiency in cGMP/ISO 13485/PDA/ICH/ISPE standards and robust documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and specialized lab instrumentation programs.
  • Proficiency in technical problem-solving, instrument troubleshooting, and data analysis.
