We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent MEP Project Engineer to join our team. This position plays a crucial role in the planning, execution, and finalization of our engineering projects. You will be working on various projects that involve mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, focusing on the design, development, and implementation of these systems. The role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, challenging environment and has a passion for engineering and construction.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage all MEP project activities, ensuring compliance with all engineering standards, codes, specifications, and design instructions.
  • Develop, review, and approve MEP design and construction documents.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with project stakeholders including architects, structural engineers, and contractors to ensure project goals are met.
  • Conduct site inspections to ensure adherence to engineering standards and specifications.
  • Monitor and manage project budgets and schedules.
  • Troubleshoot and solve engineering related installation problems.
  • Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers.
  • Conduct research to diagnose and develop solutions for MEP system issues.
  • Ensure all MEP work is in compliance with all necessary codes and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients, contractors, and team members.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods and safety laws.
  • Proficient in the use of design and calculation software.
  • Excellent project management skills with a demonstrated ability to consistently meet deadlines.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities with a strong attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred.
  • Knowledge of local, state, and federal building code regulations.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites as needed.
