Job Description

MUSC Lancaster Medical Center is partnering with South Carolina Department of Corrections (SCDC) and is in need of Patient Care Technicians, or Mental Health Technicians.

The Patient Care Technician or Mental Health Technician performs routine duties within the limits of training and certification for the care of the Behavior Health Patients. The care is rendered under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. Performs other duties related to the work described herein.

Additional Job Description

Minimum Training and Education: High School Diploma or GED required. Completion of a CNA program within 6 months preferred. A minimum of one year of work experience as a Patient Care Tech or Mental Health Tech preferred but not required.

Required Licensure, Certifications, Registrations: Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) required. Crisis Prevention Training required upon hire. Certified Mental Health Technician certification preferred.
