As a Mental Health Professional, you'll utilize counseling techniques to aid patients in overcoming addiction and modifying problem behaviors, adhering to clinic policies and professional standards. You'll collaborate within interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care, fostering positive clinical outcomes and providing support throughout the recovery process. Your role will be pivotal in promoting patient well-being and facilitating a supportive environment conducive to healing and growth.


  • Conducts individual and group counseling sessions, maintaining detailed documentation, and may co-facilitate group or family sessions under supervision, while managing a caseload of up to 65 individuals.
  • Performs initial and follow-up assessments, prepares individual treatment plans, and acts as a liaison between referral sources, patients, and insurance carriers, with responsibilities extending to aftercare planning and case management duties.
  • Evaluates patient needs, determines referrals to other programs or facilities, and ensures timely and compliant documentation of patient care, treatment, and incidents, following organizational policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrates therapeutic rapport, effective communication with patients and healthcare team members, and fosters constructive working relationships; participates in MAT collaborative meetings, team meetings, and professional development activities.
  • Collaborates with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, addiction facilities, mental health, and primary care agencies, contributing to MAT program goals, grant tracking, and community outreach activities to enhance patient care and program success.

Education

  • Graduation from an accredited college or university
  • Bachelors or Master's Degree in social or health services field

Experience

  • Master's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of experience in a counseling field, one year of which working directly with behavioral health or addiction recovery population
  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 4 years of experience in a counseling field, two years of which working directly with behavioral health or addiction recovery population

Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensure or Clinical Certification as required by state in which clinic operates.
