Journey Hospice has a rewarding and fulfilling position for a per diem (as needed) Mental Health Counselor/Therapist to serve our Hospice Clients. This position requires day time availability (during the week). General Responsibilities This is a professional role tasked with delivering a broad spectrum of psychosocial services to individuals nearing the end of life and their families. This includes conducting thorough psychosocial assessments and continually evaluating the emotional and social needs of both patients and their families. The main duty of this position is to offer comprehensive mental health counseling and support to individuals and their families who are facing end-of-life care. Basic Qualifications Education/Training/Certifications: Masters degree or Higher in Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a related field from an accredited institution. Current Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist or Licensed Professional Counselor. Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience providing mental health counseling services preferably in a hospice care or palliative care setting. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile in good working condition and have automobile insurance in accordance with New Jersey/Pennsylvania laws.
