Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Trauma Unit

Location: Richmond, VA 23225

Shift: Full-time, Day & Night shifts available (Rotating Weekends)

Salary: $65,624-$93,746/year based on experience

As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the medical trauma unit, you will provide therapeutic care to patients being treated for cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions. Your responsibilities will include assessing acute changes in patients, monitoring and analyzing heart rhythms, interpreting ECGs, noting arrhythmias, and intervening in emergency situations.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide therapeutic care to patients with cardiac, respiratory, renal, and other conditions
  • Assess acute changes in patients and intervene in emergency situations
  • Administer prescribed medications and monitor vital signs
  • Utilize computerized documentation systems to record and communicate patient conditions
  • Coordinate patient discharge planning and participate in patient/family education
  • Maintain cultural and diversity awareness when dealing with patients, visitors, co-workers, and other customers
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current Registered Nurse License in Virginia or Current Multistate Compact License
  • Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred)
  • Current American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS or BCLS) Certification
