Medical Technologist- Microbiology Lab- Full Time Day ShiftReq : Category:Laboratory and Medical Technologist Status:Full-Time Shift:Day Facility:RWJBarnabas Health Corporate Services Department:Lab MMC Location: Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave, Long Branch, NJ 07052 Monmouth Medical Center located in Long Branch, NJ is looking for aMedical Technologist RESPONSIBILITIES: Under the supervision of the section supervisor, the medical technologist performs all laboratory procedures in a prompt, accurate and reliable manner according to established hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Will be trained to work in at least one other laboratory department. Supervisor of that department will determine competency level. Scheduling in secondary department will be determined by laboratory staffing needs at the discretion of laboratory leadership. Is responsible for reporting identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (i.e. damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors, etc. QUALIFICATIONS: + BA/BS Degree + Graduate of an approved school of Medical Technology + ASCP or equivalent certification preferred + One to three years prior experience required + Microbiology Experience required ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: Monmouth Medical Center (MMC) is one of New Jersey's largest community teaching hospitals, where physicians and employees work as a team dedicated to academic and clinical excellence and comprehensive, compassionate patient care.
