Description:
The Medical Support Assistant (MSA) will provide services for patients at the Catawba Service Unit. Full time position applicants submitted prior to 5/30/2024 will be considered.
• Duties to include, but not limited to:
• Medical Support Assistant will scan all patient documents into the patient's Electronic Health Record (EHR), and
manage all release-of-information requests.
• Answer phones and take messages or transfer calls as needed.
• Assist as coverage for patient registration and assist patients with scheduling appointments and assisting the
Purchased and Referred Care technicians with sending and getting medical documentation from providers.
• Assist the Supervisory Health Systems Specialist as needed for duties to be performed related back to the duties
listed above.

• Medical Support Assistant day-to-day supervision will be provided by the Catawba Service Unit Supervisory Health
Systems Specialist. Administrative contractual oversight will be provided by Catawba Service Unit Chief Executive

Requirements:
must possess a High School Diploma or GED.
will be responsible to maintain Heart Association BLS certification, as required.
3 References (name/ /email and how they know you) 2 must be previous supervisors
Work Shift: The Medical Support Assistant will work five 8-hour days per week: Monday,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. Hours will typically be 8:00am - 4:00pm with a 30-
minute unpaid lunch break. Services are required at 40 hours per week.
