Medical Staff Specialist

Pay Range: $ 19.76/hr - $ 23.22/hr - $ 26.68/hr Please note, the highest starting rate as a new hire is $23.22/hr, based on applicable experience POSITION SUMMARY: The Medical Staff Specialist performs data management, data analysis, and report design functions, as well as administrative support for the Medical Staff Office (MSO) and Director of Quality and Medical Staff Services. Specialist assists with facilitating credentialing, privileging, proctoring and other MSO functions. position is technical in nature and is responsible for ensuring the integrity and validity of the Medical Staff Office database and report output. position works independently following general guidelines and identified priorities of the department. This position may require some early morning and/or evening hours. They must maintain strict confidentiality in all matters pertaining to the Medical Staff of Enloe Health. EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE: Minimum: One-year clerical experience One-year experience with database management and other computer software programs including applications within Microsoft Office Suite. Desired: Medical terminology Knowledge of credentialing processes/software SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES: Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills required. be able to collect and analyze data and assess its integrity. Must be able to maintain absolute confidentiality. be highly organized while working in a fast-paced environment. Must have ability to adapt to flexible work schedule and frequent interruptions. Proficient in use of Microsoft Office Suite for a variety of support functions. Knowledge of and ability to use online services for research. and multi-tasking skills are essential. Must have knowledge of or ability to learn regulatory requirements to include Joint Commission standards, CMA, Title 22 regulations for Medical Staff, and Medicare Conditions of Participation. be able to perform the essential functions of the position.
