Position Summary: This is a great opportunity to work in a respected practice as a Medical Scribe. Successful candidate must maintain a professional image in the clinic and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service. Essential Job Functions: Accompanies physician into clinic visit and creates clinic note. Maintains patient records and other information as requested by the physician. Records the office visits via electronic templates on behalf of physician. Provides courteous and friendly service to all patients and contributes to a positive work environment. Assist with ordering labs and medications. Hours may vary weekly, generally a 4 to 6 hour shift between 8 to 5, but may start at 7:00 am. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Must type at least 60 wpm with accuracy. Previous scribe or transcription experience preferred. Must be proficient with computers. Knowledge of medical terminology preferred. Previous clinical experience preferred. A working knowledge of electronic medical records preferred. Reliable transportation is a MUST. Willing/able to travel to all GI locations (Provo, Spanish Fork, American Fork)
