Outpatient Behavioral Health practice is seeking a front desk Medical Office Assistant in our Malvern and Wayne location. We are looking for a professional, pleasant team member who is detail oriented and capable of multi-tasking in a busy office. We are looking for a reliable full-time staff member (Monday - Friday). Experience using a Electronic Health Records (EHR) is a plus, but willing to train. Primary responsibilities are to answer phones, schedule patients, data input, verifying insurance, customer service (patient interaction) and assist other team members as needed. Salary: commensurate with experience. Must be also willing to travel to our Wayne location, as needed.


$18.00 to $19.00 per hour.

Schedule:

  • 10 to 6:30pm (Monday- Thursday) and 9am-3pm (Friday's)

Work Location: Malvern, PA and Wayne, PA


Travel and work in multi office locations based on practice needs/requirements.

Be willing to work late or past business office hours and possibly on off days if needed.

Greet and interact with clients appropriately, demonstrating a welcoming attitude, through phone or direct contact. Team player attitude, energetic and focus on exceeding our patients' expectations.

Interview/screen patients and assign to the appropriate Clinician.

Answer phones and route messages promptly and appropriately.

Schedule, reschedule and cancel appointments using EMR computer system.

Complete all opening and closing assignments.

Verify insurance(s), using provider portals or calling insurance companies.

Process prior authorizations, scan insurance cards, paperwork, update patient information as necessary.

Collect and process credit card copayments and reconcile patient balances daily.

Confirm all appointments scheduled daily.

Maintains business office inventory and equipment by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies.

Ability to multitask and deal with a stressful environment without effect on performance or interactions.

Interact with co-workers in a helpful manner and foster high morale.

Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.

Keep the environment clean and maintain OSHA standards.

Light lifting and transport of office supplies, furniture and equipment as needed.

Keep office(s) organized and clean, including bathrooms, coffee station, kitchen, therapy offices and lobby, throwing out trash.

Cover vacations for other front office employees.

Works in an office setting. May have contact with individuals that are agitated or confused. Must possess visual and audio skills to complete job duties. Schedules may include occasional evening hours.

Requirements:

Education:

High school diploma or GED


Experience:

  • One year administrative support experience (Preferred)
  • Customer service: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Medical terminology: 1 year (Preferred)
  • Computer skills: 1 year (Preferred)

Other:

Agreeable to background check. Typing, proficiency with word and excel. Ability to verbally communicate and write in a clear and effective manner. Good temperament.






Compensation details: 18-19 Hourly Wage
