Medical Lab Scientist I

Description: A laboratory is growing their team and looking for a Medical Lab Scientist I. As an MLS, daily responsibilities and tasks look as follows: Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to department SOP standards Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality Demonstrate ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving Prepare, test, and evaluate new reagents and / or controls Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care Perform and document preventative maintenance and quality control procedures Identify and replenish testing bench supplies as needed Assist with processing specimens when needed Maintain a safe work environment Gene expert testing, pipetting, checking pendings Ability to comprehensively and accurately test within a high volume / fast-paced environment DISQUALIFIER No laboratory or analytical testing experience Inability to be on your feet and work in a fast-paced environment No Gene testing / No PcR Hours: 8 AM - 7:30 AM start time - flexible 4 x 10 or 5 x8 Sun-Th, Tues-Sat About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
