Your Role Are you a mechanically inclined person who enjoys working with your hands? BeaconMedaes is seeking a qualified Medical Gas Service Technician for Kentucky area. This is an ideal opportunity for a highly motivated and energetic individual to become part of our team. In this role you are expected to perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical gas equipment at customer facilities, including the completion of relevant paperwork and reports. Your mission is to generate and maintain critical relationship with existing customers, promoting the BeaconMedaes standard of excelllence - keeping us First in Mind, First in Choice. The role is focused on the following: Preventative Maintenance and Repairs (85%) - Perform routine, preventative maintenance, and repairs on Medical Gas Products. Preventative maintenance should be conducted in accordance with manufacturer's recommendations (with regards to schedule and scope). Perform diagnostics on malfunctioning products, determine possible causes for malfunctions and perform repairs as suggested by diagnostics and assessment. Test and document the proper operating parameters prior to and following preventative maintenance and repairs. Provide walk-through evaluations and basic system assessments. Provide a high level of customer service, responding to customer needs and working to satisfy customer expectations. Develop rapport with customers through effective communication, interpersonal skills, and professionalism. Serve as an ambassador for BeaconMedaes. Train and assist other Service Technicians as requested. Provide technical support to other departments and personnel as required. Always promote and practice proper safety procedures and correct use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Always maintain a professional image through appearance and personal actions. Uphold a positive company brand through appropriate attention to the appearance of the company vehicle. Maintain the service vehicle per manufacturer's recommendations. Properly store and manage inventory levels of accuracy, to provide quick customer repairs. Recordkeeping and Documentation (10%) - Complete job reports daily, time sheets weekly, expense reports should be turned in at least monthly and other job-related paperwork as required. Warranty Part Returns (5%) - Return parts replaced under warranty as requested by Technical Support, Quality or Service Management. Returns must be completed within two weeks. Perform assigned duties in accordance with BeaconMedaes standards, while always striving to understand the needs and expectations of the customer. Take whatever action is appropriate and required to get the job done and to establish/ maintain communication with all people/ employees considered necessary to get the job done. Perform additional assignments as required. To succeed, you will need Experience: 3 to 5 years of technical field service experience maintaining and repairing equipment. Demonstrated expertise in the maintenance, overhaul and repair of a wide variety of compressed air or vacuum equipment. Strong mechanical and electrical skills. Should have ASSE 6005 and ASSE 6040 credentials or the ability to obtain ASSE certification within 1 year of employment is required. Education: Associate degree or equivalent. Technical training in mechanical and/or electrical, or equivalent experience.
