Medical Dosimitrist

As a Medical Dosimetrist at Crozer Health, you will develop treatment plans means of computer and/or manual computation to deliver a prescribed radiation dose to a defined tumor volume, following the dose prescription specified by the radiation oncologist. Assists in planning aspects, in the inter-communication between physician and physicist and in all related functions that require independent judgement. Performs duties in support of the Hospital mission to ensure the highest quality of patient care in an economically sound and efficient manner. This position serves adults. Experience: At least five years experience in radiation oncology in a major therapy center, two of which should be at the senior staff level. Registration, Licensure and/or Certification: The dosimetrist will be certified the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board (MDCB). The dosimetrist will hold any current licensure required by state or national authority. Skills: Excellent knowledge of the technical aspects of radiation oncology treatments and ability to communicate these aspects to the radiation oncologist and radiation therapists. The dosimetrist will have gained experience as determined adequate by the Chairman of the Radiation Oncology Department.
