AdMed is seeking a Medical Director to provide medical expertise and strategic guidance to our team. As a Medical Director, you will play a critical role in the development and execution of medical communications programs, ensuring scientific and medical accuracy and compliance.

In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams including content, design, and account management to develop compelling scientific content for a variety of channels, including presentations, publications, and interactive media.

Responsibilities include providing medical direction, reviewing scientific content, ensuring adherence to regulatory guidelines and best practices, and mentoring junior team members.

This role will be hybrid, with 3 days in the office, based out of our Philadelphia office.

Requirements

3-6 years of medical writing experience in a pharmaceutical, biotech, or medical education environment

Attention to scientific accuracy and stylistic detail

Mastery of pharmacology, biology, physiology, and pathophysiology

Experience in medical writing, referencing, review, and copy approval

Strong communication skills

Ability to produce detailed, comprehensive documentation

Not afraid to challenge medical writers and other team members to reach their full potential

Resourcefulness and attention to detail, with excellent follow-through skills

Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, (url removed), and other software

Effective time management, flexibility, and comfort with meeting deadlines

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

Ph.D., PharmD, or MD

(other advanced degrees considered)

Job Responsibilities

Write outstanding, original medical training for a variety of target audiences (eg, pharmaceutical sales representatives, physicians, and patients)

Review material from other medical writers and ensure medical accuracy, proper story flow, and implementation of adult learning techniques as well as client feedback

Work on and learn Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered chatbots that simplify product information, powered by IBM Watson

Generate ideas - individually, with colleagues, and with clients - to turn scientific facts into engaging video and cutting-edge training

Attend on-site client meetings, listen to their needs, offer your feedback, and build a level of trust that will ensure future commitments

Guide team members as a content expert, helping artists, editors, and other writers bring your vision to life

Manage a team of medical writers

Act as a leader and face for AdMed as an on-camera teacher

Identify potential challenges in a project - including those caused by a client's change to a project plan, timeline, or request - and spearhead possible resolutions
